New hunting rifle

Now own three cz handguns and and two rifles. Am looking for a new hunting rifle other that a cz. I like very much the Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe. It was manufactured in either 1976 or !977. My question, does any one know if the early models like the one i mentioned are better, the same or not as good as the new model Vanguard. Thanks for any help you can offer.
