Hello all, I'm a noob from Alabama(Huntsville) I've had a couple guns before,  s&w99and a Springfield xd,  I'm very interested in competition shooting but its gitting a bit confusing. I'm looking at the sp01 tactical and phantom to start off. Keep in mind I haven't shot in maybe 3 years. Also, I'm writing this on my phone or I would have searched for info. I'm just curious on which would be best to start off with.

Welcome to our forum!!! I go to Talladega for the NASCAR race, normally in Oct. I love it over there......
 
I don't know much about competition, but either one would suit you well. I'm sure someone else will respond with a more definitive answer for you.

Thanks guys, also, I found a couple clubs here in town that do idpa but none have good web links,  is there any you may know of so I may start shooting instead of reading?
