LONG story... I bought 3 rifles for 1,000 school (I swore years ago I would never buy another Remington 700, but I did, I hated it AGAIN, but they are easy to sell). I also bought the Steyr Pro Hunter (a real hunter, it ROCKS) and the Savage. The Steyr is by far the best of the group out of the box, but the Savage did the best at school.  I was hitting at 1,100 yards.  Rail cost over $100.  Muzzle brake (Which is sound suppressor ready) was like $150. Custom leather cheek piece is on as well. + gunsmith work. I REALLY want is a CZ 550 tacticool or Kevlar in .308 with a heavy barrel.  More than willing to trade. I have a competition next month, but after that, the Savage is available.  I think I have fired 150 rounds through it. I will shoot another 150 between now and the end of the competition. I seasoned the barrel. FFL TRANSFERS ONLY.

   Upload your pics to photobucket, copy the direct link to the photo then click the "insert image" button above the smilies and paste the URL into the little box. If they're huge, then click the picture and drag to resize it.

It was ALL BUSINESS at 1,000 yards. Made the shots EZ!  I am keeping the sling, the bipod and the scope. It is just a nice little Vortex. I have a thing for big turrets  . My husband says I just like the way they look (he is 100% correct, but don't tell him). For me, it has a lot to do with looks.  I admit it, I am shallow. The gun has to shoot well AND look hot. Being European does not hurt either.  Pretty much the same qualifications I used to find my husband.  KIDDING (kind of).
