CZ 50 Hammer Question
« on: September 09, 2018, 09:50:55 PM »
I just received my first CZ 50 from Classic Arms. I cleaned it and have one question before I range test it. The hammer in double action mode only travels back about half the distance it does when cocked in single action mode. Is that normal? It does appear to me that the firing pin safety would be moved out of the way even though the hammer does not appear to move fully rearward before it breaks. Any comments would be appreciated. How far back does the hammer move on your CZ 50 in double action mode? Thanks.

I proceeded to range test the CZ-50 and found that it worked as expected in single action mode but would not fire in double action mode. As this is my second CZ50 from Classic Arms with double action problems, they ask me to return it for a refund. They sent me a shipping label and I returned the pistol.

My question now is ... what causes the double action failure in well used CZ50s ? What causes the hammer to fall too early in double action mode?

Thanks.
