Guidelines for Posting Pictures on CZ Forum

Hello All!
Here it is, a dedicated place for our pictures of the things that make us happiest; our favorite hobby and the things connected to that!

As you may have noticed, this is perhaps the only AD-FREE FORUM ON THE WEB  :cheesy: , which means that the kind gentleman in charge is paying for the server time all on his own. Hosting pics on the forum uses a lot of bandwith (which equals Boku $), so to try and keep the costs associated with that to a minimum, we are hoping that we can get people to host photos on one of the many pic-hosting sites out there. There are a lot of them, most of them are free, and I would like to post links and give a little info about a few of them...

Photobucket (
Photobucket has a free service and a premium membership. The great thing about Photobucket is that unless you upload several hundred pics a month, you will never hit the ceiling for the free membership. Upload away! Also, linking is a snap, as each screen gives you a direct img code to work with. You can also upload and host videos of pretty good size.

Flickr (
My personal favorite, but the free membership limits you to about 200 pics. If you go over, you will not have access to your older pics unless you either upgrade your membership or a certain amount of time passes (a month, I think). However, Flickr has a huge community of photographers who take part, and there are a lot of cool groups you can join while you are there. Premium membership is about $25 a year, and is WELL worth it if you have an interest in photography. But remember, if you want to keep it free but take a lot of pics, you may want to look at another service. Also does Video.

Picasa (
Picasa is cool, but you have to download software. No big deal. AND, Picasa comes with a pretty nice suite of photo-editing software. The online storage (free) is large, and should work for anyone who wants to edit their pics and store them somewhere safe. Picasa is backed by Google, so you know it should be of some quality. One caveat. If you use Picasa, be careful. It will scan your drive and upload your pics to the online album. So, if you have pics of your wife in her nightie and hair rollers holding your favorite rifle, check the settings to make sure it doesn't end up online. My wife would kill me. Seriously.

Tinypic (
Tinypic is good, free, and easy to use. THey also give you the option of resizing your pics for easy display in emails, forums, etc. I haven't used it much, but I know lots of people who swear by it. It's a reliable service with a great history and hundreds of thousands of users. No risk. This is a great service.

Snapfish (
Snapfish is very similar to Tinypic. The major differences are in the extras that come with it (scrapbooking stuff, online community, etc.). A service with a long history of reliability.

These are just a few. There are probably HUNDREDS of online photo hosting sites, but these are popular and reliable.

MOST IMPORTANTLY! If you need ANY ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER with any of this, feel free to ask. PM me (I get instant email notification and will answer straight away), post a "need help" thread, email me directly, shout my name, etc. This isn't the greatest firearm forum on the web for nothing!

Thanks for the post, I know I learned something I hadn't before. Everyone has options and now lets see how things work out. So come on folks lets see some pics of your favorite weapon(s) and if you wish post pics of you and the family and or friends at the range.
If at first you don't succeed, then Skydiving is not your sport.

Welcome Home every Veteran and active Service personnel and Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice
