CZ 712 ALS and 612 HC-P

I am a CZ fan, as I would guess most here are.  My first gun EVER was a 527 in .223. My first handgun... a P-01. So, it would just make sense that my first shotgun would be a CZ as well. Last year I bought the 712 ALS.  I have put MANY, MANY rounds through it. How many, I don't know??? I would guess 500-700 rounds per month for the last 12 months. Plus, I carry it through the woods and pretty much beat the heck out of it. It still works like it is brand new. Shoots even nicer now that it is worn in. My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I immediately said the 612 HC-P. Now I can't wait for Christmas morning .

So... I got the 612 Friday and spent the day at the range Saturday. Now note: I have an acquaintance that ONLY buys American. We invited him and two of his friends (also American only buyers) to meet us at the range. Another note: I realize that many items sold by American companies may be made in other countries, but these guys do not care. As long as they feel like they are buying American. So they all bring their "American" guns and I have my 612 HC-P. They brought the following:
Winchester SXP
Winchester Super X3
Remington Versa Max
Remington 870
Remington 1100
Mossberg 500
Mossberg Flex
Mossberg 590
4 guys, a girl with her 612 and A LOT of shotgun shells. We shot well over 300 rounds. Slugs, birdshot and buckshot.
Result: the 612 performed ALL DAY long at least as well as, but mostly better than their "American" guns.
Lesson to me: Keep buying CZ.
At dinner I helped "American only" #3 order a CZ 612 AND a CZ 712.

Glad to hear you are satisfied with you 612. I just found it listed in the 2013 catalogue. How many rounds does it hold as I can't find that in the literature. I have been very happy with all of my CZ purchases and am seriously considering the 612. Too bad our LGS does not stock this model as I like to feel things before I buy them.

Hello.  The 612 HC-P holds 5 in the tube. The Nordic extender from my 712 fits so I can put 8 in the tube +1. But the original set up holds 5 +1 if you remove the plug (real easy to do).

It just may be the BEST $300 gun on the market.

I do appreciate the info. Sounds like a very nice gun indeed. Which web site did you get it from? If it is built anything like the CZ75 it is a winner. Use yours in good health.

I bought mine from Grabagun.com.  Cheap shipping and REAL easy to deal with.  NOTHING on earth is built like the CZ75.  It is THE wonder 9.

I really like buying from Grabagun.com. Easy, cheap or free shipping and no B.S. You order and pay. Email them your FFL ( they provide the email address your order confirmation page) and they email a tracking number and done.  It is VERY difficult for me to order a firearm from many websites because I live in the socialist Commonwealth of Connecticut. Cheaper than Dirt and Bud's Guns have been real #>€%Łs. Does not matter if what they are selling is legal in Connecticut, they just will not sell it to us. Whatever!
