Title: CZ 455 Apeture sights
Post by: latch on September 28, 2019, 05:53:26 AM
Hi everyone:

I have 2 CZ 455 SuperMatch rifles in 22lr and want to gear one up with an adjustable rear Apeture Sight and a Globe Style Front sight. I am having trouble find sources to get the parts required.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards..

I'm not sure what sight you are looking for but, Brownell's has some :

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at some that Brownells have and have sent them a msg. to see if they can recommend a setup.
I currently have a Skinner rear and a blade front which works fine for a 6 O'clock hold but doesn't give me the degree of precision I am looking for when shooting Bullseye and holding centre of  mass. thats why I am looking for finer adjustment on the rear apeture in conjunction with a Globe front sight that will accept various inserts.

I have a new cz455 supermatch and have been looking for a good set of target sight also.
Did you ever get your sights ---- if so --- what sights, and from who ?

Hi. I got a Lyman 17AHB Height .404 Globe front sight and a Williams FP rear sight along with a Williams Shorty ramp. I had to remove the CZ front ramp and install the Shorty Ramp then install the Lyman Front Globe. It works great but I should tell you that to install the Williams FP rear sight I hand to use a Dremel tool to  remove enough of the stock on the left side to allow the Williams FP to move over and centre on the dovetail because the stock was too wide at the rearmost part of the dovetail. You may be able to attach the FP sight to the dovetail ahead of the ejection port if the stock is narrow enough at that point. I just marked the outline of the sight on the the stock and used my Dremel on its highest speed and cut into the stock very carefully. then the I used some minwax stain to protect the cut area. just take small amounts off until the sight centres and tightens firmly on the dovetail.

If you like I could send you pictures. just let me know. It should make a significant difference in your groups.
