CZ 600 trail 7.62 Bolt lift
« on: July 12, 2023, 11:44:40 PM »
Looking for any help or recommendation on the bolt lift after firing my cz trail in 7.62.

Does not matter if dry fired or live fired. After the firing pen drops the bolt lift is two handed between the rifle and bolt handle. Crazy rough and tight making for a disappointing action/experience.

Anyone know if this is common with the new 600 series action? Will a lighter firing pin spring help? Does this need to be a warranty claim?

Thanks!

I don't have a CZ 600 with its three-lug design (actually 6 lugs but arranged in two rows of three) but do have a Cooper 38 with a three-lug designed bolt.  The CZ 600 and Cooper don't have to lift 90* like the earlier CZ 527 or 550 Mauser inspired design. But with the Cooper the cocking cam is at a stepper angle and requires more lift effort to cock. Weather this is what you're experiencing with your rifle I don't know. If your use to the earlier 90* bolt lift and are just now getting to know your 600's bolt lift could that possibly be the cause?
