Title: What type of bullet for home defense

My neighbors on both sides of me are about 40 feet away, my concern is that if I shot and missed, my 9MM rounds would probably go thru my wallboard and 1/2 inch cedar siding and penetrate my neighbor's homes. My first thought was hollow points, now I'm thinking frangible rounds. I'm open to advice.

Your mileage may vary but I like the Federal 124grn HST standard pressure ammo for self defense.
