Springfield Armory P9 with Factory Comp
« on: May 14, 2013, 06:36:59 PM »
I just purchased this pistol a P9 with Factory comp, It has feeding issues, but I ordered some different recoil springs, gun is like brand new, only made for two years. I bought a CZ 75 mag and had to file a tiny bit to get it to work good. The comp I believe is suppose to come off but wont! did CZ ever make a factory comp version like this one!

Yet another clone. Still, cant touch the real thing. The Czechmate has a factory comp, as did the Champion. Dan Wesson has the Havoc that has a factory comp as well.

Allan can you post some pictures?  Is the comp a cone type or bull barrel?

Here are the pictures, ordered some recoil springs 9, 10, 11, and 12 pound, hopefully I can this thing shooting/cycling good with standard ammo, I don't like having to buy the hot stuff

Yeah looks just like mine.  The comp should be threaded so if you take the guide rod out it should back off.  Somebody might have use Loctite to keep it straight; if it's red loctite you need to apply heat with the torch.

Mine is a compact slide, so I use a heavier recoil spring: 16#, but for the full size, 11# should do the trick

Awesome gun.
the sights are aftermarket and the mag is aftermarket.
factory mags had indentations at the bottom of the tube.

This is my P9 open gun from way back.
