New p07 no decocker
« on: July 28, 2012, 11:01:08 AM »
I just picked up my new p07 from my local store.  I had to have it ordered because they didn't stock it.  When I got it home I found that the manual safety came preinstalled and the decocker was not included.  Has anyone else received a new p07 in this fashion and do you think that Cz would send me a decocker for free.

New to the forum and to the world of Cz's can't wait to go shooting.

Welcome to our forum!! The P07 is a very nice gun and I'm sure you'll get many years of enjoyment from it. feel free to ask any questions you may have, as everyone here is very friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. If someone can't answer it, someone will point you in the right direction.

As for the Decocker, I would CZUSA and ask them.....

Welcome to this forum. I'm sure you will lik wit more and more as time goes on.

I can't do any better then what chfields said. Call CZUSA and ask. If you want the decocker I expect they'll mail it to you and you can use the CZ website to see how to put it on. There is a little spring in there that will test your dexterity.

I purchased the same gun last night and the parts were not included.  Did CZ send them?

Thanks!

CZ did replace the parts no questions asked!  They however did not reply to emails so if I were you I would skip that and go straight to calling them.

As an aside the gun is a dream to shoot and you will not be dissapointed!

I sent an e-mail last night and had a response this morning asking for my serial number.  Seems like great service to me.

I've heard that email is hit and miss, but a phone call always gets it done.

I e-mailed my serial number last night.  This morning I received a FedEx shipping notification for a package from CZ.  Looks like they got the e-mail sorted out.

You bought a great gun.

CZ P07 Duty normally comes from the factory with the gun set up with the decocker working.

You do not need any additional parts to change from safety to decocker .

or from decocker to safety.

It only takes about 5 minutes and you can do it yourself.

Read your owners manual and it will tell you how easy it is to do.

or watch this CZ youtube demonstration

I predict that this gun will become one of your favorite guns.

Good luck.

CZ sent me parts for the conversion, they are definitely different than the safety parts I removed.  I finally got out and shot the gun the other night.  When I did my part it was very accurate, but I'm very used to a 3 dot sight and had some elevation issues with the box rear sight.

I have had my P07 for about 2 weeks now and have put about 100 rounds through it. Quite a different trigger from the 75B SAO that I have but I am getting used to it.

Mine came with the safety installed and the decocker bagged in the box. I like the safety but have a question about the decocker. Is it like a 92FS where the decocker decocks and then has the additional setting of a safety or does it only drop the hammer?

Drops hammer to half cock like the other CZ decockers.

The P-07s with the extended barrel come  with the safety only as they are contract
specific guns, and only a few were made.

some police force or military arm out there....are carrying cocked and locked P-07s with
a longer barrel and factory nites.

very intriguing.

I think that the regular P-07s come with both decocker and safety.
