Ammo 9x18mm / .380acp

I believe the CZ24 was designed for a 9x18mm cartridge -"Kurtz-short"? The "current" spec's show: 9x18mm = .380acp; Remmingtons work. My question/problem is why ... don't some of the "same" ammo load very well into the clip (AND hung up in the chamber)?

This old piece looks good and likes to be used, pop carried it back from WWII and it's care and proper feeding will be my task now. The cost of good ammo is not a problem; but the jams that happened recently could have caused serious problems !

I have experience w/ precision measuring etc. but not sure what to look for;  thanks for any Input. I returned the ammo that didn't feed-

The 9X18 ammo is known as Markarov and is NOT interchangeable with 9X17 9mm Browning Short (Kurtz).  Many Markarov pistols were rebarreled for the Kurtz ammo and usually work fine with the old magazine.

Thank you Sir.  I think CZ model 1924 was only 9mm Kurtz/ 380acp -ammunition. And the earlier model CZ 22 used the Luger 9x19. My confusion is a purchase of .380acp  did not want to load in the mag / and hung up in the chamber.  The pistol will get very little use;  but cases hung in a chamber makes me ...uneasy.
