@Angryvikingman  I bought a 12# recoil spring and a 15# hammer spring.  Should I just use the recoil spring alone or can I install the combination without any issues.  Thanks

Should be OK. I'd have gone with a lighter hammer spring. I've got a 13 in mine.

Should have listened..  Bought my springs from Wolff and the CS is BAD.  Ordered on 12/20.  Didn't ship until today and don't have a confirmation number.  Learned my lesson.  Will not order from them again.  Next time CZ custom.

I see that CZ-Customs sells various springs for the CZ75b. I'm interested in reducing the recoil on my 75BD. Seems like the consensus on this thread is to go with a lower lb spring. Which type of spring would accomplish this? I see two types on CZ Customs: 1) main/hammer and 2) recoil. When I look at the manual I only see part #41 recoil spring. I don't see a hammer spring.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks bimmerland. So is it necessary to change both the recoil and hammer springs to get the reduction in recoil? If so what's the optimal lb?

I put an 11 lb spring recoil spring in mine, and 13lb main spring. The spring doesn't actually reduce the recoil, just the slide slap that draws you off target. So when you fire it pretty much drops you right back where you were aiming.

Thanks AVM. I bought a 11lb and 13lb recoil spring from CZ Custom. However, when I try to put one of them on I ran into the following issues:
1. Couldn't remove the guide from the OEM spring
2. The new springs are longer than the OEM spring

I suspect:
1. The guide froze to the OEM spring after multiple uses...any suggestions on how to remove?
2. The new springs either need to be cut or jammed in and "broken in"...any advice here? I have no means to cut the spring(s).

Thanks!
