Massive Trigger Slap in New P-01 Omega
« on: September 07, 2021, 03:49:02 PM »
Hello all,
I just got a P-01 Omega, and am liking it in almost all respects EXCEPT the massive trigger slap.

SA is fine, but shooting it DA results in horrendous painful trigger slap (or 'bite' as some call it).  I'm fine with the other aspects of the trigger (weight and a bit of grit/creep), but not the pain.  This is far from my 1st handgun, and I've never experienced slap so bad (ok, perhaps in a MAC10).  I was hoping that going for the Omega over the standard P-01, a bad trigger would be not on my list of things to worry about.

Is there a fix for this EXCEPT for sending it away for hundreds of dollars of trigger work?  I find that unacceptable in a brand new firearm.

I've done some searching, but so far, it seems like the only two solutions are: invest $100-$200 more money (in an already not-cheap gun) or endure it for 1,000 rounds in hopes it will "get better".

Is that it?  Or did I just get a lemon?

Thanks for the help, and sorry to make my 1st post one of complaining!
