Rami Horizontal Stovepipe
« on: December 09, 2014, 08:21:40 PM »
New Rami owner and new forum member needs some help.  Bought this Rami used because it felt good and looked good.  I've taken it to the range a couple of times, fired maybe 200rounds all 124gr. FMJ and JHP -- no 115gr., no hand loads, all quality brands.  About halfway thru every two or three mags -- not all the time -- I will get a horizontal stovepipe.  I own/ shoot a lot of guns and I've never seen this before.  Anybody have any idea what might be going on or how I can fix this ?

Welcome to our forum!!! It sounds like the recoil spring probably needs to be replaced. It is recommended to replace the spring every 600-700 rounds. I would try that and see how it works. I suspect that will resolve the issue.

Again, welcome to our forum!!

Thanks!  I'll give that a try.  Since I bought it used I have no idea of round count.  Could very well be past recommended replacement.
