My personal favorite, my smile lit up like the fourth of July when I saw this because I LOVE gas masks.

           How shiny is that! Thanks for the post. Can you believe the price? $1.25! My brother went in in the 60's and I have no idea what it cost or if it even have a price. His cover was a sort of Metalic Blue I think. I really liked looking at the pictures you posted.Thank you very much

It is kind of amazing how things go up in price over the years, and I cringe when my elders tell me they only paid 20-80 cents a gallon for gas growing up when I'm paying 2.80-3.20 per gallon for mine.

It is refreshing to dig out a piece of history sometimes though, especially something that shows a different time.
