Title: P01 upgrades
Post by: Scooterguy45 on January 15, 2020, 12:32:44 AM
So I dropped of my p01 on the 29th for a swap of the new curved trigger with an older style 85c trigger I got off of cajun gun works and some truglow sights I got off optics planet. Was quoted at 70 bucks. Yesterday I got the text message it was finished.
I went to pick it up and noticed immediately that I had no DA trigger pull. Only SA.
The Smith tried to tell me my aftermarket trigger was not up to spec.
I left angrily after waiting a weeks for a simple job and took it to another gunsmith saying please fix her.
I was able to pick it up today 1 day later with the job done.
The good Smith said the trigger was not as simple as a drop in and had to file down a few spots and she went in fine.
Now I have a sweet p01 with the old style trigger and better sights.
I can't wait to shoot it now.

Happy it worked our for you.  Thought this post was going to be another gunsmith induced horror show.

I also have a P01 with the “curved” trigger and a really long hard DA pull.   Don’t mind having the 85 trigger installed. (Just not a fan o the curved trigger)  but I wonder how much more $$$$$$ It takes to loose a few more pounds of pull weight
It appears  that I would pay close to the price of another pistol.
Thanks
