Hello from Somersworth NH
« on: June 13, 2015, 09:46:33 AM »
I thought I would take some time to introduce ourselves. We are Evolution Armory out of Somersworth NH. For the last 2 years we have been growing our business from a small home business selling guns, ammo and accessories to transitioning to a 1911, Sig Sauer and CZ custom shop. We are introducing our own brand of custom 1911's later this year and will be working very hard to introduce custom CZ modifications that not many shops are offering, if any at all.

The company was started by Mark Regenauer when he and I were working at Sig Sauer. He left Sig to start Evolution Armory and I left Sig to go to work at Colt's custom shop as a custom 1911 smith. After 2 years at Colt's we decided it was time to shift focus of the company from sales to service and manufacturing and I started working in the shop full time in June of 2015.

Now we focus on customizing and building 1911's and we almost always have a full selection of CZ custom pistols. We are working on bringing custom CZ services that nobody else has but that will be later in the year.

Thanks for reading my long winded intro. I'm looking forward to contributing to the forum.

Here's a 75B SA I'm working on. Custom contoured slide stop, 10-8 performance rear sight, CZ comp hammer and Cajun Gun Works short reset system and adjustable flat trigger.

Thanks you. I machined a Novak dovetail over the existing stock one and used a 10-8 sight. I though the flatness of the sight would tie in well with the raised serrated top of the slide.

Big welcomes from Central Florida (Orlando). Seeing a new custom CZ player in the mix is certainly a welcome. I believe the competition can only improve our fanaticism.

I am about to take ownership of a PCR and will be looking to make it effective of a lefty. Both in competition (IDPA) and as an EDC.

Welcome to our little corner and now... TIME FOR MORE MEAD!!!! Welcome all!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm going to try to get some front strap ideas out this month or next. Stay tuned.

I wanted to post some updates to the 75B SA we were working on. This is my personal gun so the work has been slow.

G10 golf ball grips we are working on having made for us.

Flush cut and crowned barrel.

I know this thread is a little older but I thought I would keep the updates to the gun in one place.

Looking good! I like the look of the grips and absolutely desire the 10-8 sight on that slide. glad to see you're staying busy between this and the 1911's

Nice looking grips!

I'm told the best-built 1911 on the market is CZ's offering, which is purportedly made in the USA on Dan Wesson tooling. Have you heard this and if so can you confirm it?

For my money I can't understand investing in any 1911 when the (Rock Star) CZ 97 BD is available albeit often with a wait!

Dan Wesson isn't handling warranty issues for these guns so I think the rumors of these coming out of the DW factory are false.

Here's an update to this thread. We are working on a CZ75 SAO Combat Package and here is where it stands.

Novak dovetail machined with 10-8 rear sight
Fiber optic or Tritium front sight
CZC lowered comp hammer
30 degree recessed barrel crown
Golfball front and back strap
CGW spring kit
flat trigger with 40 LPI serrations
custom contoured slide stop and safety paddles
VZ grips. We are working on getting a custom pattern done
This gun is parkerized but it will be finished in Ionbond DLC

For more info, please contact us through our website or Facebook

Thanks for looking
