Steel Challenge - Outer Limits
« on: August 24, 2014, 06:55:41 PM »
There was a little confusion during a recent match on how to run Outer Limits. As we do not come across it often, I thought I might be interesting to post the setup here for future reference.

Quote
The Outer Limits will have three 4’ x 4’ shooting boxes. The shooter will
start on their weak side shooting box and will engage the 20 and 35 yard
plates on the weak side of the center line, move to the middle shooting
box and engage the remaining two plates and stop plate. The distance
between each of the three boxes will be 6’.

Correct on the box count. IIRC, the berm was in the way and the left box assume a right handed shooters weak hand. So, no lefties allowed.  Heh heh

Good post, does help make things more interesting to see how the things are set up. Sometimes we don't hear the "Pings!" of the rounds hitting the targets nor do you see any hits sometimes. So knowing how to follow along makes it more fun for the rest of us.

Thanks for the effort. And nice shooting.

I  still wasn't sure if you run 'on the fly'. So I found this video to clarify.
