Ok guys, I really need help. I bought a brand new CZ SP-01 Phantom back in mid April, I haven't even shot it yet. I noticed the single action was just fine but the double action isn't right. It stops in half cock every time when you pull the trigger on the DA and I don't know what it is. The hammers not hitting at all. I immediately contacted CZ-USA and let them know and they responded saying no problem we can fix it. I mailed it in and a month later I get an email saying they will have to replace it but won't getting any more phantoms so I will have to settle for something else that's cheaper. I dot want to settle for something else, I bought the phantom because that's what I wanted. It's just been a continuous back and forth with them. I don't understand why they can't fix it. It shouldn't be that big of a problem and want me to settle for something else. Someone mentioned that maybe they want to keep the phantom to resell it after fixing it since it is a hard gun to get, but would they really do that? I'm thinking about telling them to send me my Phantom back as is. It's the gun I want and the one I bought. Someone please help me with this situation, I love CZ and all my pistols are CZ's they are by far my favorite company, I dont want this to leave a bad taste in my mouth and never buy another CZ. ok I have no excuse for taking this long to answer your question, well I do actually, I'm just surprised no one else did either. Please let us know what happened after you posted this back when.
And I very, very sincerely doubt that CZ wanted to keep it for re-sale, they don't play that way. However it is possible that it would have to be fixed at the factory and that is way easier said than done. Getting firearms into the US is a pain but getting them out is worse. Simply not cost effective in any size, shape, or form.
But if it is/was that bad, for legal issues they may not have been able to send your pistol back to you because the liability would be hugh, but if they did and you got a master gun smith to fix the problem, I for one, would like to know whom and how it was fixed. I rather liked those pistols myself but never owned one.
