The knives I made for Shot Show CZ Presentation
« on: January 26, 2014, 10:19:39 AM »
I made 3 custom knives for our Presentation to CZ at Shot Show. I made skinning knives for Alice Poluchova, the President of CZ USA and Jason Mortsen, the Head of Public relations and advertising since they're both really big hunters, and I made a Hybrid coffin handle bowie knife for the rep from CZ UB. Here are some pictures.

Yes, i know my finger was in the picture.

Skinning knife before sealing the handle with teak oil.

And YES they were shaving sharp when I sent them out.

From what Ghostwarrior said, they really liked them.

Great job with the audio....The microphone on the camera I used wasn't very good and it was very loud in there......The intro was very cool...wish I could do that.....I pretty good at shooting and I can edit ok with the right software, but no good at doing the intro graphics and stuff....

They really were sort of overwhelmed a bit with the Knives, and it was even cooler because Jason knew about the Pistols, but nothing at all about the knives. Thanks again AVG for taking the time to make those and get them to me in time for the Shot Show.

Gorgeous looking knives, props to you. Just curious if you've every tallied up the number of hours to create one, start to finish? Anyways, I'm sure those were a bit hit.

You must have that down well, I would have guessed twice or three times that. You do this as a hobby, part-time business, or? Would love to own one of those!

Its a hobby that I would like to turn into a business.

I do have plenty of knife blanks if you want me to make one.

I can do leather or kydex sheaths. Did you want the skinner or the bowie?

The skinner is $100
Bowie is $150

Nice ... very reasonable price and l will think about that ... I'd have to say it's a matter of when not if. Have spent my share of funds recently on new toys.

EDIT - Are the blades made by yourself, and if so, do you have a means to "sign" the blade or handle as well? I think that would really add to it.

100% made by me from a bar of metal. I have an engraver. I'd have to practice before I signed the blade.
