Dan Wesson CCO
« on: July 18, 2011, 05:15:25 PM »
Althoigh I'd like to see DAN WESSON and even Ruger and REmington off their 1911s in .38 Super, if not .357 SIG.

The Dan wesson CCO ( Concelaed Carry Officer) model appeals to me greatly.

1. Quality and Reliability.

Since owning a CBOB some years ago. I know that the DW 1911s ( and revolvers) are top quality and
run very well.

2.. Short butt.

After carrying a 9mm RAMI for almost a decade now. I like the short grip for CCW.

3. Light to carry.

My bad back.

(almost 20 years of carrying poice duty equipment and heavy guns)

The CCO's alloy frame means weight savings for me and my aging back when
packing a 1911.

Now post your opinion on this rather expensive (in comparison to our CZs) but fantastic offer from DW.

If I could afford one, theis would be on my VERY short list of CC firearms. Others are a RAMI (not the P), and a 75 P. However, I LOVE me some .45 ACP for SD, and since I carry my full-size 1911 regularly, I would much rather have a .45 on me at all times.

People always talk about Kimber, Ed Brown, and Wilson for 1911s, but Dan Wesson will always be the first 1911 I ever held, and will always be the one I want the most.

Then there is the one gun rule.

"Beware of the man with only one gun!"

IF I sold off my current guns, and saved for a few months next year.

I'd have enough for that spiffy new DW CCO, or even a nice used one.

I'll be 49 by then.

A .45 at 49?? Sounds pretty good.

I'd probably be hard pressed to give up my beloved RAMIs though:(

That would give me a gun to promote for CZ-USA for the rest of 2012 and I'd be pleased as punch!

The older I get, the simpler my tastes are.

Both the RAMI and 1911s are very simple, at least to me.

I'm told that you can carry a RAMI in an ankle holster, and learn to love it!!

Then there is those new ECOs.

What say you?
