New CZ 97B with Finish/Grip Questions

Hello everyone, this is my first post here.  I have viewed this forum for a while now, but I finally decided to post.  Anyway, on to my questions... my questions are about the finish and grips of my new CZ 97B.


1.  Does anyone know how to remove "shiny blotches" on the polycoat finish of my pistol?  There are several spots on the frame/slide that is not a smooth and even finish like I have seen in my 3 other CZ pistols.  I think it is where oil has sat for a while, however I am not sure.


2.  My grips are a very dark color of wood instead of the light color that is represented on CZ's website and on their manual, is this normal?
