Cz 97
« on: January 01, 2020, 01:02:52 AM »
Just took possession of my new cz 97 from the ffl today, and I must say, shes nice.
The trigger out of the box is smoother then my p01 or pcr.
Im gonna chalk that up to a manual safety and not a decocker model.
This cz does not seem to be coated in packing grease eithwr the way my other czs were
Side note, not a deal killer, but this cz does not include the target in the case of test fire from the factory. Neither did my p01 purchased 5 months ago.
I think they stopped that.
But it feels good.

I replaced the aluminum grips with rubber.  That's it.  After a 100 round up I shot my top score in the LEOSA qualification ever.  It's an amazing gun.

My hands are medium sized so I need the thin grips myself. But it's a soft shooter. Iv had 5 different 1911s over the years and I loved em all. They might had better triggers. But nome of em were as soft as this

Careful observation (slide removed) of the trigger pull kinetics will show no interaction between the decocker and trigger action. Trigger smoothness can vary quite a bit between "identical" CZ pistols, being principally a function of the flatness of the single action tooth on the hammer, which engages the sear. The broach tool change intervals aren't too rigorously enforced at Uhersky Brod, but the fix is easy and enjoyable.
