Upland Ultralight mid rib question
« on: January 04, 2012, 09:06:46 PM »
Thinking about buying the Upland, but have to order it sight un seen from my local gunshop.  I was told that the Upland had no mid rib helping reduce the over all weight,..but if you look at the picture on the website
   http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/upland-ultralight/
or the review written by Richard Venola,  http://www.cz-usa.com/assets/product_downloads/2010CZ_SprayOfFeathers_LR.pdf
all the pictures clearly show the gun with a mid rib in place (which I prefer)
Does it have a mid rib for 2012 models or not?

Welcome to CZ Forum! We're delighted to have you!
Now, from all the pics I can see (including the 2012 catalog), the Upland Ultralight (the only Upland listed) does in fact have a vent rib that runs the length of the barrel... IS the weight oa the barrel a big concern, or are you just confused about what you are seeing versus what you've been told? Me? I confuse easily...   But at the same time, I have such faith that I would just buy it anyway and know that whatever I get will be good. Perhaps not always the smartest route to take, but it's worked so far.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, and I hope someone can give you more definitive answers to your question.
Warmest regards, and again, Welcome to CZ Forum!

It's the "bling" factor, I actually prefer the mid rib design. I've had my eye on the Upland for awhile now, but never pulled the trigger on the purchase (no pun intended) because of the previous, or what may be the previous design. If it in fact has the mid rib,...I'd order one today
