The Gator set
« on: January 31, 2011, 08:48:40 PM »
This is the Gator rig Eric Larsen of hbeleatherworks made for me. There is a matching belt but I'm wearing it just at the moment. An dyes at least one holster mag and light pouch are hanging from the belt when I am wearing it, but I'm tryig out a couple different holsters for the Shadow and the Compact.

May I call you gator two guns,

Nice looking set. Hope you have a good matching belt to go with it. Belt is just as important as holster(s) in my opinion.

Mirror image sets are interesting.

Do you plan on carrying two mirror image guns at once on some occasions? Some people think, why carry a spare mag when you can carry a spare gun.

But if you carry two guns at once, I doubt if you can use either of the mag carriers shown. Might need a horizontal mag carrier in belt buckle area if carry two guns.

Or are you preparing for the potential you might be injured in primary side and need to be capable with your weak hand?

I like bezel up in flashlight holder, as in your holder, more natural to me than down.

Truth be known I not only have a matching belt but every last part of the entire rig from belt to holsters, mag pouches and light pouch are all from the same Gator. And yes I do wear the entire rig (both of everything) at the same time. I am fat enough to actually pull that trick off but it sorta depends the pants and how the belt loops are spaced as to whether or not I can wear all of it at once. And last but not least I allways practice weak hand shooting. To many years as a cop and or protection specialist with a healthy (some say over developed sense of what if) belief that Murphy is allways around somewhere.
