Add on cheekpiece for 527 American

I have a 527 in 223 with the lower later model bolt handle and James Colhoun low mounts. I need to raise my sight line up a bit to be really comfortable. I would like something that will not scar the wood. Any experiences or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Tom.
