TS / CTS 40 FTE and safety issue
« on: December 31, 2018, 06:09:00 PM »
Hi

I have a TS / CTS 40.

Shoots great at a steady cadence but when I ramp up the speed I get FTE’s.

Any experience with the CZ Custom heavy Extractor? heavy extractor Spring?

Any other suggestions for fixing high speed generated FTE’s? (Yeah, it’s clean)

ALSO

I have an ambi safety with wide paddle on the left and smaller paddle on the right.

Can I remove the right side safety to have a single side safety without replacing the wide paddle (which I have already fit to me) the weak side safety is digging in to my top knuckle

Your expertise and experience is much appreciated

Thanks

Just going to hazard a guess that increasing the tension on the extractor may give it more bite.

Regarding the RHS, I do not think it can simply be removed. Somebody would have to make a custom 'plug' to support the safety. There would still be a nub where the post sticks out.

Thanks but is there a better extractor to put under that increased spring tension?

I'm not sure, try calling Dave at cajun gun works, or stuart wong over at cz custom. If there is they will know.
