Reset Targets
« on: January 21, 2012, 05:44:28 PM »
Looking to buy a steel target for my farm. Using 9mm. Want a Popup or reset target style. I don't mind spending a few hundred for quality but don't want to spend more just because something is more expensive because it's better quality. Any recommendations?

The NRA has one or two, but not sure if it's over priced, I am a life member but that doesn't mean I blindly pay out what ever they ask. You could also check with Cheaper Than Dirt, and both Gander Mountain, and Bass Pro shop, although I think the last two may well make the NRA ones look cheap. Check down on the Accessories board at the bottom, we may have some idea posted there also.

Just for grins and giggles, I did a Bing search and came up with this site. Looks like decent prices at least for the IDPA/IPSC target stands, but they do appear to have Metal Pop ups I think

I got a few hits, but hopefully you may get someone here that can narrow down what you want/need, much better than this.

Do-All makes a reset target.  You may want to mount it in a pipe to raise its height.             http://www.natchezss.com/Category.cfm?contentID=productDetail&brand=DO&prodID=DOSS6306&prodTitle=Do-All 9mm-.30-06 caliber Auto Reset Targeting
They also have the six target "Dueling Tree" that swings from side to side when hit right.

The Dueling Tree can be a lot of fun when shooting against someone with comparable skills. On my first duel I was dead before I hit my first target. Still so much fun and you can always practice by yourself without ever having to walk to the target.

The Do-All is the one I was going to suggest. Man, when my family moves up to it's second (and hopefully our last) house, I am going to do everything in my power to have it in the country on a little bit of land...
