CZ 75 Short rail 1978 model

Hi guys new to the forum just need some help regarding my CZ that I inherrited from my dad should I cerakote or reblue as it has some wear marks from the holster.

Seriously, it's your pistol so do what makes you happy. I think it's beautiful as is - it wears its history proudly and well. Only thing I'd change is to get some reproduction period grips for it: https://www.vintagegungrips.com/shop/cz-model-75-waffle-style-pistol/


If you did refinish it, I would do a proper hot blue like the original.

Welcome to our forum!! I have to agree, do not cerakote, that is a rare and much coveted pistol. If you do choose to refinish, go with the original finish so as to not reduce its value. You have a great collectors item there, treat it well....

Thank you guys will maybe go the hotblue route but definatly not cerakote or just keep as is.

Beautiful CZ.  I have one also bought new in the 70's.  I would suggest keeping it original. Wear marks are honest character on a weapon.

They typically sell in the $2,500 -$3,000 range.  Refinishing it would probably make it worth less.
