What Do You Carry In Your CZs?
« on: October 11, 2012, 08:05:13 PM »
Hi guys and gals.

Other than talking CZs, I like to discuss ammo as well. I'd like to get to know everyone better- and find out what guns and gear
you rely on each day?

I'm currently carrying my RAMI P with fresh nites-in a new High Noon
"Tail Gunner"  IWB holster.

Also with a spare mag full of Double Tap's 115 gr. TAC-XP load.

This shoots very nicely from both my 9mm RAMIs with perfect reliability.

A 100% copper HP bullet that doesn't have to be bonded.

I also like it in .357 SIG as well.

Now tell us about yours.

KEV

I like your rig, thats very nice!! I don't carry my CZ, it stays in a single gun safe until I go to the range. I use federal 115GR 9mm ammo from Walmart for the range and have Federal 115GR 9mm HP for home defense. I'm hoping to be able to carry in the future though.....

124 FMJ with a tracer third from the bottom so I know when I am sitting on empty as it were. I'm thinking of going a step up in projectile weight, possibly a  P  since the CZ's can take it. Which means I'm mostlikely going to use 115 gr  for range time. and then spend a mag worth of the heaver stuff to keep the muscle memory.

For the range, 115grn fmj. For protection I carry some 115grn Pow'rball, and 2 backup mags of fmj. You know, with this time of year, a decent leather jacket can stop a hollow point, or so I've heard. People always say "If you can't get it done with one mag, then you shouldn't carry at all." I say screw that, you might be shooting at a few different people, and you have to have a proper amount of ammo in case they try to flank you, or so you can pin them down until help arrives or you can escape.

Also, with myself and the wife, she carries a RAMI, and my SP-01 mags fit and fire from it as well. So if she needs it, I can toss her a mag when she runs out.

My ammo count = 55 rounds
Her ammo count = 35 rounds

I actually have one more mag for each pistol, but no way of carrying them at the moment. If we can't get it done with 90 rounds between us, then God help us. As I say, "Always carry a bigger stick, or more bullets."

One mag in the pistol itself, and 2 spares per pistol(s) I am carrying at time. And if it's something with only 10 or 12 round capacity then one in the pistol and 5 spares. There is no such thing as to much ammo. Just places to hide it.

I carry a S&W 9MM Shield modded for 4.25 pound trigger and TFO sights.  Carry Hornady Critical Defense 115gr FTX in two mags. My CZ's are for range only.
