Heavy bullet, rather low but very good "Hit" (Quantity of movement : Speed * Weight).

rough vs english double rifles ... too expansive for the settlers.
This caliber is always used in Africa, and it's one of the best for lions ... and all kind of african games
except pachyderms... unless anything unforeseen happens !!!
I think it's a good medecine for elks, mooses and polar bears , grizzly and so one ..
Our canadian cousins use it with great efficiency.

          Great pictures thanks for posting them. That is one sweet long gun you have! How bad is the kick? I gave my brother a Brno model VZ 24 in .338 Win. And if you hold it properly it's not bad to shoot, but if you don't..............you will regret it.

I'm constantly suprised by the amount of people who don't know you need to pull the gun tight into you to avoid kick. At my school EVERYONE took hunter's safety, and this is one of the first things you learn when being taught to shoot anything besides a 22LR. I've had to tell so many people how to position their body to absorb recoil. Its only common sense.

I have put "weights" inside the stock . Now with the scope the weight reachs  8 1/2 - 9 lbs. It's quite confortable

I think so the way to shoot is important, good position is a great help!!!


The "short" barrel 20/21 " is very accuracy to shoot 100 yards easily (1").


But the action is not "smooth" !!!!    not at all !!!
